TKH was requested by Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) to provide initial planning and facility space programming for a new hospital on the west side of Albuquerque.  The idea of a 21st century facility that could easily expand as the population grew was at the forefront of planning objectives.  The project size is 302,500 square feet of hospital space and contains 96 beds.  Ease in wayfinding, alleviating patient and family stress and creating a staff-friendly environment were important factors.
