The Emergency Department at Kaseman experienced extraordinary growth in both urgent care and emergency cases.  The facility was land locked and could not grow to meet this demand.  In the short term, a Behavioral Observation Unit was established in an effort to relocate those cases so the current Emergency Department could meet volume demands.  The vacated Day Surgery space was then renovated for the expanded Emergency Department.
